I’ve got two interesting events coming up in my diary. First is the IFP Conference “Excellence as Standard” on September 30th & October 1st, just down the road at the Celtic Manor Resort in Newport.
I’m looking forward to attending Day 2 & 3, plus the Gala Dinner for which my wife has generously supplied a pass!
Then, I’m off to New York and Finovate 08 which takes place on October 13th 14th. I’ve got a really tough schedule, but am looking forward to the presentations and networking opportunities! Finovate has a unique format featuring two action-packed demo/presentation sessions, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Each session contains 12 leading finance/technology companies giving 7-minute demos of their latest and greatest products (no PowerPoint allowed!) followed by several hours to talk with each of the presenters and network with other attendees. The day ends with a happy hour with an open bar and appetizers, and then I’ll be off to the airport to fly back to the UK!

Just wanted to make sure you know that Finovate 2008 is actually taking place on the 14th of October (not the 13th). We’ll see you there. Looking forward to meeting you in person!
