Durrell Bishop

Durrell Bishop is an innovator in product design, physical interfaces and interactive media. He has worked as a researcher in Computer Related Design at the Royal College of Art (RCA), spent time at Interval Research in California, and worked as a designer with Apple Computers Advanced Technology Group. He completed both an MA in Computer Related Design and an MA in Product Design at the RCA, after gaining a BA in Industrial Design at the Central School.

Durrell has also worked as a senior interaction designer at IDEO in both the US and Europe, and co-founded Itch, which won a D&AD Gold Award for large-scale work at London’s Science Museum. He was a partner in Dancing Dog, working on camera-based interfaces to computer games. He has also worked on projects for Panasonic, BBC, Reuters and Nokia.

Durrell lectures internationally on simple hardware/ software interfaces, and teaches Interaction Design and Product Design at the RCA in London.
