Matt Davies
Matt Davies has worked in financial services since he was 18, with much of his experience being in Solution Design and Development. He started his career in Foreign Exchange trading and international banking in the 80’s, moved into Debt provision in the 90’s, and finally landed in Life, Pensions and Investments in the 00’s.
Over the last few years, Matt has brought his considerable experience to bear on the topic of User Interface Design and Usability. He has worked on large scale projects for Barclays Bank, Goldman Sachs, Marks and Spencer, and more recently Winterthur Life and AXA, both reviewing and designing solutions and carrying out due diligence on third party systems and providers.
His background in development, and experience and understanding of the business needs, allows Matt to engage in very technical issues whilst maintaining a strong customer centric focus. This cross over between the world of IT and Business is highly sought after and Matt’s skills are much in demand.
Matt is an enthusiastic member of the Usability Professionals Association, the Information Architecture Institute, and the British Computer Society .
